I woke Alexander up with the good news that he would be spending the day at his grandparent's house. He got up very quickly and ran and started putting his shoes on. I explained that he had to get dressed and he ran to get his clothes. He was very motivated. He went on and on about going on the bus and train to visit them and gathered together a supply of vehicles for the trip. And then he cried because even though he was ready, I wasn't and he had to wait.
