Day 1179

Happy Halloween! Emma made a cut out pumpkin (on table) and we are planning to make some cookies for a Halloween party Emma will go to on Friday, but no actual Halloween Day celebrations. Here is Alexander making lots of noise.

Day 1178

Alexander used Brio Meccano to make a fishing rod and went fishing off of the bed. Rather frustrating though, since the rod kept breaking apart and he wouldn't let me help him add screws.

No picture of Alexander - but a picture of a nice big hole where they are building a new stop for the commuter train which will be done in 2017!

We went to the Culture house in town. The children's library/play place is so popular that we had to take a number (167) and wait to be let in (they were on 123 when we arrived). Alexander climbed around and looked out the window while Mormor explored the rest of the culture house. Later, Emma and Lasse showed up as well. Eventually it was our turn to go in and Alexander found more things to climb on, including a boat! After the library we met Isaac and ate crepes.

While Emma and Lasse went to Instawalk Stockholm, Mormor and Alexander and I went to the library. We found some chestnuts on the way.

We went with Mormor to the subway/tram museum and everyone enjoyed themselves. Alexander wants to go back again (he has told us this repeatedly) and Emma wants to build a model train. They had a little subway ride and it was important to show your ticket.

Climbing down the stairs backwards after deciding that the slide was too wet to slide on. Later on Alexander broke out in hives, I think because of a clementine - sad because they are so yummy! But he didn't seem to mind the rash, and it went away after a couple of hours.

Alexander helped us rearrange the apartment for Mormor's arrival!

Alexander woke up before 6 am this morning! Was clingy and wanted to sit in Lasse's lap when he ate breakfast. Later in the evening he dressed up and played doctor/nurse.

Alexander had a great day playing, mostly with Mommy. We had a picnic with very tiny dishes, and I got out a game about a chicken laying eggs. I have no idea what the rules are, but Alexander had his own ideas; it was usually his turn (but sometimes mine) and he thought that he should have the pieces with the eggs on them. Apparently they have this game at his daycare.

Running home with a balloon after seeing "Alfons Åberg" at Knattebio (tiny tots cinema) with Mommy. Later we did a BIG puzzle together.

We made pancakes and Emma made Alexander a Hello Kitty pancake with a HK cookie cutter.

Sleepy sleepy. Alexander pinched his hand in the bath and (almost) bled. "There is BLOOD!" he yelled, "BAND-AID"!

A beautiful fall day. I took Alexander to the 4H farm to look at the bunnies, pigs, horses, etc. He was more interested in watching the humans and they were pretty entertaining. Later, Alexander did some play cooking and Emma joined in.

Lasse and Alexander took a long walk to a park up the hill behind the fire station; Lasse's blue jacket is barely visible as they go up the path.

Another missing picture day. We find keeping up with even basic day to day tasks difficult. The weeks are going by quickly. Lasse and I are getting more sleep nowadays which is good.

Saying "goodbye" to Mommy, involves blow kisses, waves, high fives, and hugs.

Not finding a picture. Alexander has very cute pronunciation these days. For exampel, calls his daycare teacher Sofia, "Tofia" and spaghetti is "paahsketti". He still calls Isaac "Store bror" = big brother.

Day 1150

When it works with my schedule I drop Alexander off at daycare at 9:00 which is nice because we have about 2 hours to eat breakfast, get dressed, and play - this morning we built with Duplo train.

Day 1149

Alexander has managed to dress himself the past couple of days, except for his socks. He is very determined to do it himself. Here he is on the way home from daycare, where he played outside almost all day, despite the rain.
