Day 1054

No picture of Alexander today but strangely enough a picture of my healthy lunch. Having a hard time keeping up with everything these days. Trying to eat well. Alexander's appetite is smaller nowadays. Swedish meatballs are still his favorite, but he also usually eats fish, pasta, rice, beans, hard cracker bread, cheese, milk, butter, yoghurt, fruit, etc. He is a bit reluctant to try new things, even really yummy new things.

Day 1053

Today Emma joined me when I got Alexander and we played in the park for two hours, which was fun for everyone. Alexander especially appreciated pushing Emma down the slide.

Day 1052

On the way to and from daycare we usually stop to peer at the water which makes a nice gurgling sound. We had plenty of time today and Alexander pushed the stroller most of the way. We stopped to look at a worm and met a dog named Molly (not pictured).

Day 1051

Came home from daycare and had apple pieces and told me about his day. This is Alexander's last week of daycare - then he will be off for 5 weeks!

Almost all of the pictures of Alexander that I take are blurry because he is constantly moving while playing. He was looking into the police car at all possible angles and saying, "det är världens bästa polis"! = here are the world's best police (happen to be small hello kitty figures).

Alexander went to a 2nd hand store with Emma and Mommy. He enjoyed trying on high heel shoes and a fun vest.

Alexander was very happy when cousin Hanna and Emma also showed up at daycare! On the way home we watched a squirrel for a long time; we thought the squirrel was going to climb into an open window several times, but it didn't. In the end the squirrel took off across a grassy area and Alexander sang, "sprang han hem till mamma på den gröna ängen" - lyrics from a children's song about a squirrel running home to his Mom across a green meadow.

Alexander pushes on various freckles/moles on Lasse's leg and depending on which one he pushes the leg behaves differently. Very entertaining!

Day 1040

Emma pulled an all nighter and was very tired today, she is under the blanket. She wanted to get down her dollhouse and her and Alexander had fun setting it up.

No picture of Alexander today, but one of Emma :-) They like balance on the way home. A summer project I hope to complete is working on my other blog and getting more pictures of Isaac and Emma up!

Having recently witnessed his brother's and cousin's birthdays, Alexander has become fascinated with the idea. Here he is putting candles on a cake and singing "Happy Birthday". He is starting to say, "my birthday is soon! It is August".

I've started bringing Alexander a snack when I pick him up at daycare since he seems to enjoy staying outside for an hour or more.

Took the scenic route home from daycare again today - picked Alexander up at 3 pm and came home at 5 pm! He found a slide; the first time down he wanted to hold my hand, and after that he went down by himself about twenty times. Then we went to meet Emma, who had gone to the mall after school, and we bought some milk, looked at flowers, and climbed on stuff.
