Resting on the sofa with Mommy after a fun but tiring day at daycare; they were out exploring nearby woods in the morning and outside in the yard during the afternoon.

Being silly. Wearing another piece of clothing that is getting small but that he loves: strawberry pajamas.

We went to the park. It was very cold. Alexander had on his red snowsuit which is way too small for him, but which he loves. A large area was covered with ice and in some places it cracked under our feet.

Alexander asks me to fill up this small bottle with cold water to drink. He drinks some and pours the rest on himself. Hmm, same expression as yesterday.

Two pictures having to do with minor holidays: 1) Alexander brought home a Valentine's heart from daycare. 2) Licking off the beaters when we made semlor (cardamom rolls, filled with almond paste and whipped cream) for Shrove Tuesday, which we had on Wednesday.

After being away from daycare four days last week, Alexander didn't think it was a good idea to go today.

Healthy! Alexander and I went out in the morning and he played in the snow. We were out for a long time and I took several pictures.

Alexander was sick all week. He's decided that he wants to sleep on this nice beach towel (which belongs to Isaac).

Happy Valentine's Day! Lasse and I gave each other the gift of not doing anything = less stress to commemorate the day. I gave Isaac and Emma some candy and Alexander a small car, which he was happy about. Alexander still sick.

When Isaac picked Alexander up from daycare he wasn't feeling well, and he soon had a fever.

Still entertained by the trains, buses, cars, firetrucks, birds, people, lights, etc. but not as much as when he was younger - but we have conversations about what people might be doing and discuss a lot of details - colors and forms and numbers and weather conditions.

I came home very late, and never took a picture. Alexander likes to say "precis" (means "exactly") when he agrees with something. It is very cute, and I find myself imitating him - but then he gets annoyed with me and says, "No! MY precis"!
