Day 1418
Thursday
We had a great day at Moomin land! Perfect weather, and we came during low season so it wasn't crowded at all. We started off feeding the birds, since we arrived about an hour before Moomin land opened, which turned out to be Emma's favorite part of the day, even though she really enjoyed Moomin land too. We all had a great day, with the only drawback being (and this didn't surprise us) the lack of food options.

In a labyrinth.

Emma watching the ants.

Mr. Sunshine.

Alexander loved walking around on these rocks. Kind of scary for his parents to watch, but it was right above the flat path so not as dramatic as it looks.

The Moomin boat was Alexander's favorite thing in the park. He pretended to drive the boat, but the best part was the slide from the top of the boat down to the lower level; he ran up the path to go down the slide again many times.

Too-ticky made a string bracelet for Alexander, with his help of course.

The Moomin house was the main attraction and center of activity with people dressed up as Moomin characters. Snufkin played the harmonica or guitar and Fillyjonk sang opera. Alexander kept a safe distance from the characters, but did participate in chasing Stinky. Emma took many pictures of flowers.

How great is this? They had a rest area with about 8 hammocks set up among trees to lie down and rest in.

Climbing up the stairs of the Moomin house and playing on the top floor.

Emma looking into a house.

Sleeping while waiting for the bus. He slept the whole bus ride back to the harbor which was good, because he was in a good mood (and hungry) when it was time for dinner later.

In the children's area, waiting for the boat. The boat goes back and forth between Sweden and Finlad, so they stop and drop people off and pick up people all within an hour or so.

Emma was tired too, getting ready for bed in our cabin, which had very comfy beds! We rode back on Viking Line's new ship and it was really nice.
