It has been warmer and a lot of snow has melted. Alexander pushed his stroller home today, making sure to walk through all the puddles.

January 29th Alexander makes a tunnel and Emma shows off her Birthday present for Lasse.

Alexander and Emma went sledding and spotted two squirrels in a tree.

While Lasse took Emma to a museum and a birthday party, Alexander and I had a nice active day; we went to a short movie and went grocery shopping. We played outside in the snow, and later Alexander played with his small animals.

We reluctantly decided to cut Alexander's hair since they are having problems with head lice at his daycare and we would rather avoid the creatures. Alexander asked us to take it all off (a daycare friend showed up bald) but we settled with very very short.

It has been lovely taking Alexander to daycare on his sled. He stopped to pick up a rock and it rode along with us most of the way home.

Putting away a pizza game, which apparently is played by piling everything onto the pizza and then throwing it in the air.

Things roll under the bed and Alexander runs to get the mop to get them out again.

Emma is happy to have a brother who likes playing with her small animals and dolls. We continue having nice winter weather.

We build with Brio train almost everyday. There is a train station, Tullinge, where Farmor and Farfar usually stand and wait for the train to come. Sometimes the Moomin family rides the train. Two of the train cars sleep in a little garage and a third one sleeps in the ferry. Dropped Alexander off at his snowy daycare today - they have been playing in the snow most mornings and afternoons.

A cold day at the park. Alexander impressed Lasse with his climbing skills.

We put away Christmas today - the tree, lights, trinkets, etc. The teenagers were sleeping, but Alexander helped take decorations off the tree, and sat in the sofa looking adorable.

Emma and Alexander played with Playmobil while I cooked dinner.

January 7th Alexander trying out Emma's first violin. Didn't last long though, because Alexander wanted to hold it by himself and Emma wanted to keep a hand on it too. We can try again in a few months.

January 6th We went home today, another long car ride which went well. We dropped everything off and then Isaac and Lasse went and got the cats from a friend's house. No pictures today though.

January 5th Skiing on his own a little bit! Riding the lift with Daddy. Happy Daddy. Relaxing with Alva, Tina, and Hanna.

January 4th Alexander rode the small lift and got off himself! He was happy to have the company of cousins, uncle and siblings before they went off to the big slopes. He wanted to follow them. Later, he was happy to just stand around and people watch.

Day 1243

January 3rd Walking to the lift. Children looking at smartphones. Emma came to cheer Alexander on - the beginner's slope was open an hour extra, so the last few days Alexander went skiing for short while in the morning and again in the afternoon. Worked out well, since he got tired after 45 minutes or so.

January 2nd Beautiful winter day. Isaac getting ready to ski, having a snack with Daddy, Hanna and Alexander playing in the snow. Hanna did my makeup and Alexander also wanted to be made up. The last picture really captures what he thinks of his cousin!
