One of those days when I try to take a picture and Alexander tries to get the camera. Alexander points at things (with all five fingers). Most of the time he points at the lights, wanting us to turn them on (or off).
Alexander is too young to enjoy it much, but he was a good sport. He ate lunch, took a nap, and was mildly entertained by the carousel. Then he ate a snack, became very sad, and went home early with Mommy. Daddy + siblings + uncle + cousins stayed on till after 11 pm!
Riding an elephant.
I guess it was Alexander's 2nd visit to Gröna Lund, if you count last year, shown here :-) Btw, there is a huge change in both Isaac and Emma in one year! They've both crossed over from children to "youths".
Alexander discovered that it is really fun to put his socks through his shape sorter toy. They go through all the holes and don't get stuck like those hard plastic shapes!
playing on Isaac's laminate floor, which is still a work in progress.
Farfar let Alexander play with the spacers. Very interesting.
Mealtimes get messy! As you can see, a piece of peach ended up on top of his head. Alexander has been eating less the past few days, less than when it was very, very, hot. We think he might be teething.
It was rainy and a bit chilly tonight. First time wearing pajamas in several weeks.
A typical Alexander expression. I wonder what he is thinking.
Alexander has become obsessed with the strawberries on the balcony. Today he pulled on me asking me to pick him up and then pointed for me to take him to the balcony. It was very windy so the door was closed. He banged on the door and looked at me and then at the door and then at me, giving me a "what is it that you don't understand" look. We had already given him all the ripe strawberries, but how are we supposed to explain that? I said, "strawberries bye-bye", and closed the blinds. Luckily, it is still easy to distract his attention to something else.
Such as spice jars and tea bags,
or Duplo.
He continues to practice pinching his fingers in the kitchen drawer. He closes the drawer slowly and softly on his fingers and then a little faster and harder. He seems to want to figure out where the limit is. I am on hand in case his fingers get stuck and it is a bit of a nerve racking game for Mommy to watch. He also shuts the drawer with his palm open, which doesn't involve pinching his fingers at all.
Alexander understands "bye-bye". He waves "bye-bye", and this evening, when Isaac and Daddy went on a bike ride he cried when they left, shook his head "no" and stretched out his arms towards the door.
We played with the light, turning it off and on, and he soon forgot his sadness.
The room renovation is taking a toll on my blog! Yesterday I took 2 pictures of Alexander, 1 was good, and it was yet another picture of him in his high chair. Same thing today!
Here he is eating a strawberry harvested from our balcony! He got very excited when he saw the berries growing out there.
I stuck my pinky through the center hole in these plastic gears and Alexander was fascinated. He tried it himself over and over, looking at and touching his finger tip poking out the other side.
