Day 1561
Day 1560
Friday, November 15th
Our cat, Sugar Bunch who has dilated cardiomyopathy got sick again today. She was sick in the beginning of October and was put on medication which we were told would keep her healthy for a while - and it did. She's been very happy until the last couple of days when she hasn't been eating much. Today her breathing was strained and she was looking for places to hide such as Emma's closet. We called the vet and they said we should put her down quickly so that she wouldn't drown since her lungs were getting filled up, so we gave her a last meal (she didn't eat the food but licked off the sauce) and took her to the vet and said goodbye. She seemed very calm until the end and we were glad that she didn't have to suffer but Emma especially was very sad to see her go.

Day 1556
Tuesday, November 12th
The picture is blurry, but it tells the story, which is that every night when I am getting Alexander to go to sleep, after I sing to him, he lies and smiles for a while, as if he is remembering fun things from his day. He doesn't always smile of course, sometimes he lies there looking if he is thinking about something serious. He often wants me to assure him that he is just going to sleep for a bit and then it will be morning, he does not want to hear that morning is far away. Once he falls asleep he sleeps well.
