Hmm, no picture today.

Day 1117

Using our "new" entrance. Alexander is almost tall enough to ring the doorbell, but not quite. He usually stands on my foot, or on his tricycle.

Day 1116

Woke up at 6 am, didn't take a nap at daycare, played in the park, ate a big dinner of salmon and sweet potatoes, and was ready for bed by 7 pm!

Day 1115

Eating raisins in the morning before going off to daycare. Btw, he has gotten used to daycare again. He waves goodbye to me happily when I drop him off, and sometimes blows me kisses.

Took a detour on the way home from daycare to go down the slide and run around in circles.

No picture today but we were very busy; while Emma was visiting her cousin we decided to rearrange some furniture. This included mounting a shelf up on a wall, which later fell down in the middle of the night, thankfully no person or object hurt/destroyed. Chaos!

Alexander hurt his right hand a bit at daycare today, so for the rest of the day he did everything left handed: biking home on his tricycle, building Duplo train, and having a picnic with the Moomin characters (who he pretended very convincingly were with us in the kitchen).

I tried to get Alexander to throw the ball through the tunnel but of course it was more fun to carry it through himself.

Day 1105

Alexander and I had a nice time playing in the park (swinging, building roads in the sandbox, having a picnic, and watching squirrels) while Lasse and Isaac were enjoying a 66 (!) km bike ride. Alexander also enjoyed playing with Emma's/Alexander's baby doll, a doll he used to be smaller than.

Emma built Alexander a Brio train track.

There was a huge downpour today, and when we went to meet Emma we saw this big puddle.

Dinner on the balcony with Isaac. Alexander doesn't say Isaac, but instead addresses him as "Storebror" (big brother).

Having fun throwing things to Mommy from his crib. He is getting used to daycare again. He's with the older children (3-5 years instead of 1-3 years) and after only two days it is clear that the new era of pee and poop songs/talk has begun.

Day 1100

Mommy and Emma had a good afternoon and when Emma came home Alexander and her were happy to see one another. Alexander also got a package from his Mormor - finger puppets!

Day 1099

Alexander was tired after his late night, and had an afternoon nap. Lasse and Emma were supposed to go the butterfly museum but didn't make it there and we had a rather dull day.

Day 1098

August 11th HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALEXANDER! 3 years old and very excited about it. Was Happy to open presents from us in the morning: a red car, a blue car, some BRIO train things, two puzzles, and a boat. He went to the park and later we had a taco buffe with relatives. Emma decorated Alexander's cake with a Moomin theme. More presents! A bus (big favorite), car with house trailer, doctor kit, and a play tent with tunnel! He stayed up until after 10 pm without a nap. He was very eager to investigate whether or not all the vehicles had doors that could open (they did :-)

Thursday August 9th Alexander has been sad about going to daycare, but today I had the idea of letting him ride his tricycle, which he really enjoyed.

Day 1095

At least once a day Alexander goes somewhere on his car, usually to Tullinge where his grandparents live. This involves driving from the garage (in our bedroom), down the hall to the living room and back again. Often he asks me to sing, "let's go riding in the car car" as he drives around.

No picture today, but cousin Hanna came and spent the night. Alexander started daycare after 5 weeks off, and he cried when we left him. He will have short days at daycare until September though, which will help him get used to it. He was very happy to see Hanna, who came with me to pick him up :-)

Isaac still hasn't found new pants, it isn't easy, so we headed off to the mall. Alexander in the dressing room.

Another day spent having fun in the country, hopping on the trampoline, picking and eating berries, and playing in the playhouse and the sandbox. Self portrait.

Playing in Emma's room. Later, Isaac, Lasse, Alexander, and I went shopping at the mall - not a relaxing experience, but we took turns watching Alexander, who is very fast and not too interested in shopping for clothes.
