December 31st

Last day of the year, and Alexander is still a bit sick, eating very little, a bite of banana or a sip of juice and only when sitting in our laps or on the floor.

Mommy and the teenagers went into town at midnight and watched the fireworks from the bridge near our old neighborhood.

December 30th

Alexander's latest mantra: "Inte vila"! (no nap!)
But in the end, he couldn't stay awake.

Mommy removed the long cord and Emma rested Hello Kitty on Alexander.

December 27th

On the way home from Tullinge. Alexander usually gets very upset if we try to take off his hat; today he made sure we understood by pulling it far down over his eyes. He was exhausted, and just sat like this for a while and zoned out.

December 28th

Helping wash the dishes/pretending to cook food/drinking lots of water/spilling water.

Fun activity of the week: Alexander enjoys removing his arms from the sleeves of his shirts,pulling up the pant legs over his knees, and removing his socks.

Still feeling a bit sick, but not so sick that he couldn't try out the keyboard that Santa brought.

December 25th

Merry Christmas!

Alexander had a fever almost all day, but felt pretty well while opening presents - here a big box of Duplo train that Isaac and Emma had back in the day.

Alexander didn't enjoy Christmas dinner as much as his brother did. Mommy looks grumpy, but she was just tired :-)

December 24th

God Jul!

Alexander didn't take a nap as planned and by late afternoon he was exhausted.

The highlight of Alexander's day was when Santa arrived and handed out presents, something Alexander has been talking about for the past month or so. Santa did bring him several cars, and a cash register, and some clothes too.

December 23rd

Alexander is talking about "Tomten" a lot (Santa) - he looks off into space and says, "Santa is coming with a blue car ... maybe" and "Santa is coming with a red car ... maybe" and finally, "Santa is coming with many cars".

I moved his step ladder into the bathroom so Alexander could help put wet clothes into the dryer :-)

Alexander enjoyed watching a video of himself playing with Emma.

However, another video, of baby Alexander taking a bath, wasn't as fun: "baby come up now"!

Alexander moved his portable kitchen to a new location, borrowed Mommy's crocs, and started cooking up a storm.

We went to the mall and Alexander climbed on beds.

It was hard to capture the moment on camera, but Alexander decided that he needed to roll on the floor; I think he was experimenting with how he could move up and down the hall.

December 11th

Alexander has decided that his kitchen belongs in the kitchen. He pushed it in from the living room with great determination. We suggested that he park it next to the wall, but he had other ideas; it was to be a kitchen island.

More Hello Kitty in vehicles pictures. Sometimes the small figures do not behave as Alexander wants, here they kept falling down on the floor and getting stuck, but Mommy managed to get them out again. Lasse has trimmed Alexander's hair.

Alexander and Emma each have a Hello Kitty advent calendar and some days there are small figures, which like to ride in the car.
