September 28th
Alexander spent the day at his Grandparent's house today and had a great time. He didn't miss us, but perhaps he missed his firetrucks, because the second he came home he ran to find them and took them to Emma's room.

Hammering pegs into a board.

Alexander woke up from his nap and was sad and cranky for a while.
Alexander likes to pull books off the shelf and leaf through them.

Alexander has started telling us about what they do at daycare, and wanting to do it at home. One activity he likes is "clapping names" where they say names and clap for each syllable. But his favorite these days is a song about a sleeping bear that wakes up. They lie on the floor while singing and jump up and yell when the bear wakes up. He did this about 20 times, placing a stuffed animal (choosing a mouse) face down in the center of the rug in Isaac's room.

Woke up to a rainbow; they do not appear to often so we were excited.
Alexander is feeling better (no fever) but still quite tired. He stayed home and took a four hour nap after this play session.

Aunt, uncle, and cousins came over for a pancake breakfast and then we all headed over to see the firetrucks; the fire station had an open house today.
Alexander's initial reaction to sitting in a firetruck.
Enjoyed checking things out from the safety of Mommy and Daddy's arms.
Later, Alexander explored happily with the girls.
