No picture of Alexander, but a picture of another drawing Emma has done - this time for a classmate, of the classmate + cousins eating watermelon.

Monday
Alexander likes to eat very close to someone (preferably sitting on them). Here he pushed up close to Emma and watched her decorate an envelope.

Sunday
Alexander and Emma went to the park with Lasse while I worked at the libray. We met afterwards and ate ice cream.

Friday. Sleeping again. Alexander has been waking up early, thanks to the light, and even if he is tired in the evenings he is bouncing up and down and running around until 7:30 pm or so.

We played in the park after daycare and it was hard convincing Alexander to come in. At home, I took some pictures of Emma's project on Nils Dardel - she was supposed to make 5 objects that she could connect to various paintings/aspects about the artist's life. She made the monkeys by folding pipe cleaners, the rabbit from needle felt (stabbing felt with a needle), the painting she had done last summer, hand painted bead bracelet, the wagon with driver (who came out of his drab black cloak to show his true fabulous self).

The walk home took a long time because we were looking at plants - we found some flowers!

We (not the teenagers, they stayed home) made a good but exhausting expedition to IKEA. It went very well. We got there before they opened, and had coffee, orange juice and cinnamon rolls to fortify ourselves. We found a sofa, got it home, said goodbye to our old sofas (they found a new home thanks to blocket.se) and assembled the new sofa. Phew.

We went to a turning 50 years old birthday party that took place near a horse stable.

Alexander and I went in to town to meet Lasse and Emma after daycare, who was going to spend the night with Farmor and Farfar. Alexander enjoyed seeing Emma, and riding the subway.

Borrowing a picture from another day because I lost some pictures when restoring my iPhone. So this one if actually from the 17th of April, but captures a typical Alexander moment at this point in his life :-)

Farmor and Farfar picked Alexander up and Farmor sent me this picture of him playing.

We stopped and watched the ice melt.
Emma is enjoying drawing portraits, from a photograph of the person, here a friend from school.

There is still a lot of ice on the way to the subway from daycare, but it is melting fast!

Having iPhone troubles, lost a few (not many) photos - taking a photo from yesterday, when we were visiting friends.

I woke up with a migraine and Lasse was gone taking Isaac to take a test (Swedish equivalent of ACT/SAT). Emma was very helpful keeping Alexander entertained until my headache subsided a bit. She built a very nice Brio train track with elevated tracks.

Friday
Walking from daycare again. Yesterday and today they were outside almost all day, yesterday they even ate lunch outside, but today it was windy and cold. Alexander enjoys walking through the puddles and breaking up pieces of ice. Here he is looking for a chestnut that he had put in his snowsuit's pocket.

Walking home from daycare. We read in the newspaper that they will be taking away the rocks and sand put down throughout the winter by the middle of May, later than usual this year.
