Day 994

This puzzle has odd shapes and was one of Isaac's favorites many years ago. It is fun to see Alexander enjoying it, though he doesn't do it the way Isaac used to (with the pieces laid out picture down, going on shape alone).

Day 993

Went for a walk in the woods and picked some spring flowers. They go in the woods almost everyday in daycare, so Alexander is very agile while navigating the terrain.

Day 992

Alexander went and got his stepping stool and put it down here, one of a couple of spots where he likes to play the harmonica.

Day 991

When we picked Alexander up from daycare he wanted to walk through the woods and look at flowers. Emma took him while I pushed the stroller on the path. Emma took the last three pictures.

Day 990

Looking out the window at bedtime. As I mentioned, it is getting harder for us to get Alexander to sleep - the days are getting longer (YAY!) and it is still light when he goes to bed.

Day 989

A late day for me, and I forgot to take a picture of Alexander. On the way to daycare in the morning someone had put out old bread and there were a lot of noisy birds.

Day 988

We heard the gurgling of water on the way home and had to investigate.

At home, Alexander decked himself out with help from Emma, donning a Hello Kitty shirt, necklaces, bracelets, and crown. Then they sat down and read :-)

Day 987

Time to sleep, but not very sleepy. Alexander seems exhausted around 6 pm but usually perks up later on.

Emma joined me when it was time to pick up Alexander from daycare. She pushes him fast, which they both enjoy. At home, Alexander had his toenails painted blue. Emma did a very careful job, with three layers (blue, glitter, and top coat) and when she was done, Alexander said that he wanted green and there were tears. But eventually, everyone was happy again :-)

Day 979

Went for a bike ride with Daddy and Isaac and came home and took care of baby doll. Yesterday the doll was named, "baby" and today his name was, "boy".

Rolling around on the blue sea. I think I've mentioned this before but we have a cover for our bed that is green on one side and blue on the other. Alexander likes to decide whether we should make the bed into "grass" or "ocean".

Day 978

We woke up to snow! Alexander played with his baby doll for a long time. After dressing him, he took him for a ride in the doll buggy to visit Moomin (who apparently lives on Isaac's rug).

Day 977

Alexander has been playing with his kitchen a lot. He informed us the other day, "Ni måste har fika nu" - You must have a coffee break now. But it isn't just coffee, he is preparing fancy dinners too.

However, if the fire trucks come out he stops cooking and runs to look out the window.

I was sick today and didn't think about taking pictures, not even sleeping ones :-) Here is a picture of something Alexander brought home from daycare - a milk carton transformed into a flower pot and decorated for Easter.

We did a big grocery shopping trip, which involved the whole range of toddler grocery store moments from joyfully helping us, to lying on the floor crying with exhaustion. I ended up carrying Alexander around a lot, and Alexander had rice pudding while Lasse packed the groceries.
