Nails, again. We later moved the box that Alexander is sitting on into the living room but he didn't like that. He moved it back, pushing and shoving with determination.

Alexander was feeling OK, so we sent him off to daycare. A lot of children had been sick this week. Here he is walking around in purple Crocs.

Lasse took Alexander to the doctor today because he has a very sore throat which makes it painful to swallow or eat. We were not too surprised to find out it was only a virus, but it was nice to know. Back home, Alexander enjoys trying on shoes, and he found some sneakers in the closet that will fit him in the spring, when it gets warmer.

Alexander is still sick, so he stayed home with Mommy and parked his cars in Emma's slippers.

A sad day for Alexander, who was sick and had a fever and hardly had any energy to do anything. He ate yoghurt for breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner.

While Alexander was fine at daycare, he became ill again at the end of the day, and had a fever. The daycare staff said that he had enjoyed walking around in the snow for the first time (previously he has stood still or sat in the daycare's pram).
Alexander's feet have grown a lot, and have some rough spots; goodbye baby feet.

Had a quiet day at home. Alexander has discovered the Lego under Isaac's bed, and we brought it out. We built a house with a lot of doors and windows that he could open.
The sunset was nice, Alexander stared for a while.

Mommy was at a class at work, so Farmor and Farfar picked Alexander up at daycare, and he had a good time with them in the afternoon. He stayed up later than usual, here he is at bedtime.

Saturday = more time to take pictures.
Isaac and Mommy went grocery shopping in the morning. We hadn't done a serious shopping trip for several weeks, and we had a lot to haul home. Alexander was very happy to see Isaac, and they played with a box.
Here is Alexander holding a doll wearing an outfit that Alexander had when he was still in the hospital! Notice that the clothes were larger on Alexander than on the doll.
Mommy made coffee bread. Alexander helped himself to dough, over and over. I eventually asked Lasse to take him somewhere else.

18 months old! When I picked Alexander up from daycare they said that two kids had been sent home due to stomach flu, urk. Fingers crossed that Alexander doesn't get sick. Here he is eating corn, spinach, fish, white beans, and parsnips
He wanted an apple too; after getting out the cutting board he showed me where to find the knife to cut it up with.

Keeping busy. Trying on Mommy's hat,
and hiding and finding a duplo figure in a duplo tree.
Alexander found a box of baby/doll clothes under Emma's bed and he asked me to dress up these stuffed animals by putting the animals and the clothes in my lap.

A sunny day. I picked Alexander up from daycare at 1:45 pm and we came home and had a snack and his hair was wild.
Before bedtime Alexander helped take care of laundry; we folded things and he put washclothes on our heads.

Alexander went to his 1.5 year well baby/child check up today. The nurse watched him stack blocks, and gave him crayons to draw with, and asked him questions like, "where is your nose"? He weighs 12 kg and is 84.5 cm. When we got home he wanted to play with blocks.

We had to try out the Kitchen Aid, of course. It made fun and interesting noises which Alexander was curious about.
It also made chocolate chip cookie dough in mere minutes!
