Alexander has become obsessed with the strawberries on the balcony. Today he pulled on me asking me to pick him up and then pointed for me to take him to the balcony. It was very windy so the door was closed. He banged on the door and looked at me and then at the door and then at me, giving me a "what is it that you don't understand" look. We had already given him all the ripe strawberries, but how are we supposed to explain that? I said, "strawberries bye-bye", and closed the blinds. Luckily, it is still easy to distract his attention to something else.
Such as spice jars and tea bags,
or Duplo.
He continues to practice pinching his fingers in the kitchen drawer. He closes the drawer slowly and softly on his fingers and then a little faster and harder. He seems to want to figure out where the limit is. I am on hand in case his fingers get stuck and it is a bit of a nerve racking game for Mommy to watch. He also shuts the drawer with his palm open, which doesn't involve pinching his fingers at all.
